Revitalization of the Atahualpa Square brings new toys to the public and integrates families

The Atahualpa Square, in Leblon, Rio de Janeiro, was adopted by us in April this year. We started a project to revitalize the space through the playground, which received new and sustainable toys. The reaction of the public was very positive, and the place, which used to have practically no visitors, now has several children there every day. On the occasion of the park’s inauguration, the public was entertained by a performance by the Fanfarrinha block and by the free distribution of Mil Frutas ice cream.

Still this year, the public will be able to count on many new features in the square until its total revitalization, such as a space for dog walking and recreation, and an area for physical activities, among other things. The goal is to reoccupy the square, integrate the family, promoting well-being, as well as increasing security for those who frequent it, which is one of the premises of Beja’s work. The square will also have a space for cultural and educational activities, such as reading groups and storytelling workshops. Stay tuned to what is coming next!
